Dear Joni,

How are you? Hope you’re being good! Yea, I'm in San Diego and it’s no party. Really it’s nothing you could imagine. (It’s about 10 times worse.) Now, I know why they call the Marines the toughest in the armed forces. Of course I didn't think it was going to be any picnic.

Enough for this place I don't want to get sick writing about it.

So how’s your car running dear? Good I hope. So when do you have to go to court for speeding? When you write please tell me what you've been doing. (Just the good things.) Of course I hope there's nothing bad but I'm a long way from home. The writing is kind of sloppy because I writing this letter on my knee. Well hun it’s time I close because I'm quite tired.
