Dear Joanie,

The first thing I want to say is that I miss and think of you all the time, and that's the truth. No one could or will ever take your place in my heart.

How are things going for you? Have you gone out since I left, and have you seen Joe or Joel? Write and let me know what's been happening. By the way, if you haven't seen Rich yet, don't forget to give him a piece of your mind for me, but don't tell him I told you to do so.

The weather here is just magnificent. You'd love every minute of it. I just wish you were here to enjoy it with me. Everything is going perfect so far.

I've spend a great deal of time with Eli. He is just great. He called several times on the Saturday I arrived. He finally got in touch with at night. He doesn't have a car so he asked if I would come to see him on Monday so I did. I spent the whole day with him. I got there about 1:00p and he borrowed my Uncle's car when my Uncle got home from work to take me home. We were together until 2:30am.

We had another long talk and everything will work out well. I went to the wedding with him on Wed. July 4th. Guess what?! Yes, I caught the bride's bouque (did I spell that right?) My Aunt dragged me to the front of the line and I was so embarrassed you can't imagine, but I did catch it without any problem.

Everyone, my relatives, got so excited telling me I'll be next to get married I turned 20 shades of red & purple. They then grabbed Eli, and told him to be careful of how he treats me or he'll lose me. I'm sure you can imagine how I felt standing there. I didn't know what to say or do. I hope that never happens again. Anyways, I was with him again on Thursday, the following day, all day, and stayed with him. We went swimming and out to dinner with a married couple. I had a great time Thursday. That night he told me he loved me. I almost fell through the floor. I didn't answer him. I didn't know what to say. By the way, he's not seeing that girl from Israel anymore.

I also found out the reason she came to Calif., her parents live here, they have been here for two years. She was in the army there, and she couldn't come with them when they came to the states. So, you see there weren't just relatives, like I thought they were her Aunt or Uncle living here.

I'm going out with him tonight and tomorrow. I guess we'll be spending a great deal of time together. (I hope) I have deep feelings for him and you know how I am with my emotions so I hope things will continue to go well as they have been.

Please excuse the writing. I'm writing on a shakey serving tray out by the pool. Everytime I write a word the whole thing shakes with me.

There's more I'd like to say, but not in a letter. I'll be calling you soon.

Please write or call. I'd like to hear from you. Say hello to Marilyn and give her my love.

Oh! Give my regards to Frank & Floyd will you and Joe & Joel.

Always I miss you, Love Evelyn
